Blue Bloods Book Review

This book is a typical vampire tale, but totally revamped (pun intended). The book is set in New York City, and the Blue Bloods (fancy name for vampires) control it, holding power. The plot mostly revolves around the teenage children of the powerful Blue Bloods. The story especially revolves around the main character, Schuyler, who is the last in line of a very distinguished family.

Schuyler is treated like a total outsider by her prestigious school. What nobody knows is that most of the students that attend the school are Blue Bloods (fancy name for vampires). Some of the Blue Blood students don’t even know, as they are unaware of their background until they reach the age of 15. At that age the symptoms show up within their bodies.

Not long after Schuyler discovers her background, Blue Bloods lives are threatened by the mysterious Silver Bloods.

The novel does contain drugs, alcohol, and sexual undertones, so be cautious of that. Though I would definitely say that the unique and unusual tale is worth it.

The book has a lot of sly humor within it. It’s very easy to get lost within the thrilling story of an exclusive secret society.

Now this is the first book of many (7 books!) so if you choose to read this book, prepare for that.

Overall I would give this book 8 vampire puns out of 10.
