Freshman Spotlight
Windward is a small high school, there is no doubt about that, but even if it is a small school some people could still go years without knowing who their fellow classmates are, or if they exist, even from freshman year to senior year. In response to this fact Ariannah and Joseph emailed freshman, Ariannah interviewed the freshman who wanted to be interviewed, and Joseph made questions and typed out the bios.
Aidan Mckernan
Harry Potter House: Slytherin
Aiden Mckernan is a freshman here at Windward. He is 14, but will be turning 15 on February
22nd. Aidan decided to enroll in Windward because he thought it would be a good
fit for him. Aidan is interested in many things, but after school he would like to pursue a career in
Computer Security. Since Aidan is new to Windward, we don’t know much about him, but he is a
rather fun, caring, and smart individual who looks forward to his future at Windward.
Lee Cousineau
House: Hufflepuff
Lee Cousineau is a freshman here at Windward. He is 14, turning 15 on July 16th. Lee decided to
enroll in Windward because it was a small school and he did not want to deal with discriminative people, he just felt that Windward was a better option in general. His school activities consist of being a navigation representative, a member in a writing group, and he wants to be in drama club later this year. The three words that would summarize him best were shy, energetic, and cold (temperature wise.) He wishes to pursue an artistic career in his future.
Shane Dukellis
House: Slytherin
Shane is a freshman here at Windward. He is 14 turning 15 on April 30th. Shane decided to come
to Windward based on the friends that were already at Windward and family that went to
Windward one year, one suggesting Windward was a great school for him and that he should go.
Now that he is at Windward, he wishes to be a member in drama club and wants to pursue a
career in music and tattoo art by getting a tattoo apprenticeship and joining a band. Three words
that would describe Shane would be outgoing, opinionated, and easy-going.
Michael Hughes
House: Hufflepuff
Michael is a 14 year old freshman here at Windward, turning 15 on December 3rd. Michael
decided to come to Windward because he had heard that it had a very accepting, family like
community that takes time to know every student. Michael is part of an after school writing club
and in his future wishes to become an animator or writer. Three words that would describe
Michael are fun, weird, and Illuminati.
